Content

International and interdisciplinary workshop (in English) on the Jungfernhof concentration camp in Riga. We will work together with Karen Frostig, associate Professor of Public Art and Art History; director and lead artist of the Lock(er) of Memory project https://www.lockerofmemory.com/

The studio will partly take place in Vienna and Riga.

Jan. 14th, 2021: Due to the ongoing restrictions in the course of the COVID pandemic and ambiguities on the site, the schedule and the on-site workshop might be postponed (probably to September 2021). We are trying to fix the schedule by early February 2021.

Please be aware that you have to take care of travel booking yourself. Minor support by the ÖH BOKU will be provided.

Previous knowledge expected

Students must have design experience on urban and object level. Skills in drawing and visualisation are prerequisites. They must be on a master level. For BOKU students the following mastercourses are prerequisites:

855107 - Introduction to urbanism (recommended)

Strengthen design competence, applying different methods of site reading and interpretation;
