The bachelor's degree seminar can be done as scientific literature thesis or experimental project thesis in the fields of applied genetics and cell biology. Experimental projects require 8 weeks full-time laboratory work and a report.
The themes are distributed by the lecturers which need to be contacted personally. Current topics can also be found in BOKU-Learn.

Students gain the ability to work on scientific questions and learn to read and summarize primary scientific literature, the correct citation rules and literature management. Students are able to collect relevant data and interpret them. Informations, ideas, problems and their options for solutions shall be mediated for experts and amateurs.
In experimetal theses studnets learn the methodology of the specific topic in the field of applied genetics and cell biology. They gain the ability to evaluate, interprete and document the results according to international standards.
