Rough survey of the vegetation of Central Europe and the Alps.



Presentation and deeper discussion of the dependence of vegetation from environmental factors, particularly land utilization with the help of some selected examples in forests, pastures/meadows and set-aside arable land.

Demonstration and testing of selected scientific approaches and methods in the field with practical tasks as a starting point: monitoring of biodiversity, ecological evaluation, management concepts, indicator species,...
