GIS and Remote Sensing techniques facilitate the work with applied problems in geosciences. Ways how to use these techniques in an appropriate and efficient way will be shown and practices using a variety of examples, particularly regarding natural hazards.

Basic understanding of computing, basic knowledge of Geographic Information Systems.
- Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)
Ability to independently and creatively use GIS and remote sensing techniques for various tasks in applied geosciences.
