Biodiversity decline and anthropogenic climate change are endangering livelihoods globally and are among the biggest challenges humanity has had to face. In this seminar the following topics will be discussed:
-Definition, quantification and development of biodiversity
-Causes for biodiversity decline
-Interdependence of biodiversity and climate change
-Lessons from previous mass extinction events
-Possible solutions
- Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

-Overview over established and recent research in the field of climate change biology
-Develop oral presentation and scientific discussion skills.
