Content

A selected topic in the field of waste management is elaborated under supervision.

The topic assignment will be finalised at the introduction session.

Previous knowledge expected

basic knowledge in waste management and circularity is required (eg. how is waste collected, sorted, recycled? treatment technologies, re-use and waste prevention)

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

Objective: after completing this course participants are able to analyse a well defined topic as well as to bring the results into a scientific format.
The participants of this course apply basic knowledge in waste management to a specific question. For this purpose, they investigate papers from the literature and critically analyse the state of knowledge. After completion of this course, the participants are able to present a scientific question and the result of their investigation, systematically and clearly arranged both in written form as well as in an oral presentation.
