In the seminar current publications in the field of agricutural economics are analysed and critically discussed. Possible topics are risk and efficiency analysis land use models or measure policy impact measures. The students, working in groups, compare and evaluate two publications of a given topic, regarding data, methods and results. They summarise their findings in a two paged short-paper and present their results in an oral presentation. Besides their own topic, each group also prepares for another topic of a different group. After the presentation the group discusses their topic with their corresponding discussion group, followed by a general discussion.
