Content

Focus is the analysis of multivariate or complex data in ecology though most of the statistical methods can also be used for other purposes. We will start discussing what kind of data are collectcted and used, sampling strategies, data management, data exploration and transformation. Statistical methods presented will include somewhat advanced linear and non-linear models, mixed effect models, diversity measures, cluster analysis and ordination analysis, which leads to the analysis of communities and their relationship with the environment. Depending on the interest of participants, additional topics may include species distribution models, functional traits, physiological models or the use of online data sources.
