The “Intensive German Refresher Course” is for students who have previous knowledge on an intermediate - advanced level. It is suited for students who have learnt the language, but have not practised it for a while or on a regular basis. The course is especially designed for incoming students at BOKU.
Course content:
Grammar:Revision of important / difficult grammar points
Vocabulary:Revision of basic vocabulary (especially for daily-life situations)
Idioms
Expanding vocabulary so that students are confident in conversation, discussions on specific topics, such as:
Speaking:-University / Work / Education / Studying and Living in Vienna
-Environment / Global world problems
-Business / Technology
-News / Sports / Leisure / Events
-Science and Research
-Society / Human relations
-Current topics
-Topics chosen by students
Discussions, bilateral conversations, debates (for and against positions) etc.
Listening comprehension: Training with authentic material
- Previous knowledge expected

fluency in every day speech, but also in subjects with relevance to studies in natural resources and life sciences.
