Journal Clubs will be held in defined intervals as a get-together of all ABC&M - PhD students together with at least two PIs/associated faculty member being present. This will familiarize the students with important research topics in the field of ABC&M. Principal investigators and associated faculty members will rotate so that students get exposed to different ways of thinking and critical evaluations of scientific work.
In addition to the presentation of a suitable publication, it is also expected that students will address the relevance of the selected paper in the context of the existing literature and also discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the paper.

Students will be able to critically evaluate and discuss scientific literature on biorefineries.
In addition, they will improve their presentation skills.
