To successfully complete the dissertation seminar, you must actively participate in two seminar dates. In the winter semester, decentralised dates are offered, please discuss your participation with your supervisor and register. In the summer semester there are 3-4 central dates.
1) At the first date you have to present the concept of your Dr. thesis. You can include methodological aspects, experimental approaches, first results and interpretations, etc. and have the opportunity to discuss these with the researchers of the department and with the other PhD students.
2) On the second date you should present and interpret the results of your PhD thesis. In the interpretation, special attention should be paid to the current state of knowledge / current literature. You will also have the opportunity to discuss these with the researchers of the department and with the other PhD students.
Please discuss the time of your participation and the content of the lectures with your supervisor and have him/her register you before the beginning / at the beginning of the semester!
ATTENTION: In the winter semester, the seminars take place DECENTRALLY at the respective institutes of the DWB. Please arrange the presentation dates, scope and content with your supervisor!
