Mechanics of solids (mass and density, force, torque, deformation and fracture under tension, work, energy and power)

Thermodynamics: Heat, specific heat of solids and gases, states of matter; air humidity; transport processes.

Electricity: electrostatics; DC-circuits; electromagnetism; principles of electrodynamics; moved charges and currents in magnetic fields; electromagnetic induction; AC-circuits; resistance and AC-circuits; work and power from AC; transformers; three-phase current; electric power consuming circuit; power supply in Austria.

Mathematics and physics on high school level

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

The student has knowledge in mechanics of solids, thermodynamics and electricity and can use this to solve practical problems
