Content

The first part includes a discussion of different types of natural hazards such as floods in torrents, sediment transport, debris flows, landslides and snow avalanches. The second part deals with concepts of mitigation and protections measures, and includes an introdution to integrated risk management.

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

Knowledge about interdisciplinary aspects of natural hazards and torrent processes and discussion of protection measures.
