Content

The aim of the course is to practice the critical reading of different academic discourses, to reflect them critically and to argue and contextualise them both flexibly and in a way that is appropriate to the context.

At the beginning of the course, 4 different thematic blocks are jointly defined, for which the PhD researchers prepare one afternoon each in groups: this includes preparing the format, reviewing the discourse and selecting (and justifying the selection) of three journal articles, preparing the questions that serve as an introduction to the discussion.

Each participant is expected to read and work on all selected articles in preparation and actively participate in the class.

Finally, each PhD-researcher selects one discourse, and contextualises and critically discusses on the background of one's own PhD research by means of an essay.

Previous knowledge expected
