Lectures are combined with seminar parts discussing the following topics:
Sketching
Design – elements and concepts
Design and shapes/forms
Design and space
Space – definitions und ambience
Forms of landscape and topography
Design with plants
Paths, tracks and roads
Designing process
Intentions of design and its intermediation
site-seeing: spaces and places, interpretation of sites

The seminar parts consist of drawings in the sketchbook.

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

Landscape architecture is to be understood as creative discipline. Attendance have basic knowledge of design principles, the use of the most important design tools as well as cultural and professional contexts.
They are able to approach design tasks and discuss qualities of designed spaces.
