As part of the now well-established "CITY & TRAFFIC" workshop, proposals for solutions are developed for locally defined urban areas with specific traffic problems and put up for discussion at a final presentation. This takes place in internationally mixed small groups.
A total of around 40 students and supervisors from up to 10 different countries (depending on the situation) take part. This one-week workshop not only offers a very direct on-site insight into the traffic problems of other countries, but is also an excellent opportunity to make international contacts.
Recent areas of activity: 1997 Modra (Slovakia), 1999 Klosterneuburg (Austria), 2000 + 2008 Erfurt (Germany), 2001 Banska Stiavnica (Slovakia), 2002 + 2006 + 2014 + 2023 Gyoer (Hungary), 2003 + 2011 + 2019 Cracow (Poland), 2004 + 2010 + 2022 Maribor (Slowenia), 2005 + 2012 Vilnius (Lithuania), 2007 + 2018 Tulln (Austria), 2009 + 2016 Decin (Czech Republic), 2013 Malacky (Slovakia), 2015 Weimar (Germany), 2017 Beograd (Serbia).
(2020 and 2021 cancelled due to COVID19 restrictions.)
The next workshop is scheduled for 07.-13. July 2024 in Weimar (Germany).
