Students have gained knowledge of the legal background regarding scrap wood (definition of scrap wood in the legal sense, Waste Management Act, Federal Waste Management Plan, Ordinance on Waste Wood Recycling, REACH) and of the origin and annual amount of collected scrap wood in Austria. Students have learned about methods for the classification and evaluation of scrap wood. They are able to assess the potential of scrap wood recycling and to create innovative ideas for scrap wood reuse.
