Professional guidance to conduct the thesis; theoretical and practical advices;

Imparting the fundamentals for scientific work, design and develope a bachelor's thesis with support during the establishing of the work; scientific discourse and presentation;

The bachelor's thesis connects to the topics of the exercises for landscape architecture as written in the curriculum. The research questions and substantive priorities are to be developed individually.

In one or another group there may be a focal point which has to be considered in the preparation of the individual bachelor's thesis.

Group Thornton: The focus should be on urban landscape topics, the landscapes of urban waterways, nature-culture readings in landscape architecture theory and praxis, and contemporary landscape and urban "Isms". Students may submit their work in either English or German.

Previous knowledge expected

Please bring your portfolio from the exercises with field work for landscape architecture to the first unit.
Introduction to Urbanism, and interest and knowledge of urban landscapes.

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

Learning of the basics for self-contained, scientific work; application in conducting of the bachelor-thesis
