Genetics of behaviour, evolution and behaviour;

Upon successful completion of the course, students will have acquired a basic understanding of ethology as a discipline within biology. They understand the principles which underly behavioural processes as well as the behaviour patterns of the main livestock species. Through this, they are able to evaluate the environmental and housing conditions provided to farm animals in terms of the animals' behavioural needs.
