Environmental chemistry deals with chemical processes which occur in water, soil, and atmosphere, their impact on the environment and human health and effects from human activity. During the seminar, current “hot topics” in environmental chemistry concerning soil, water and the atmosphere will be discussed. A suggestion of topics and sub-topics will be made available by the supervisors and presented during individual meetings. Following these meetings, students (in groups) can select their topic of choice which will form the basis of their presentation and report. In "update-meetings", students will present their strategies and concepts to scientifically process their topics and prepare the presentation and report. These meetings will be mentored and supervised by the lecturers. In a scientific mini-symposium the topics will be presented.
