Content

In-depth examination of landscape architecture, including current research findings from the Institute of Landscape Architecture.

A two-day field trip to a neighboring country is planned for spring 2024.

Currently planned Greater Brno area: Eisgrub/Lednice Landscape Garden (World Heritage Site), Slovanské náměstí Park (Leberecht Migge, 1913), Villa Tugendhat (Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Gertrud Müller-Roder, 1929/30), Botanical Garden of the Faculty of Natural Sciences of the MU (1960s and 1970s)

Details at the preliminary meeting at the end of February/beginning of March 2024

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

The aim of the course is

- to analyze and understand landscape architectural approaches of different eras on site,
- to develop an understanding of the garden and landscape cultural heritage
- to experience impulses for a further examination of the history of landscape architecture and
- to be able to classify current landscape architecture and their own design work.
