Content

This course focusses on women as landscape planners and landscape designers and garden architects, users of gardens and open spaces as well as on women as sponsors of landscape and garden designs throughout the history.
The course is complemented by excursions.

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

After completing the seminar and taking part in the excursions, students will be able
- to name some female protagonists in landscape planning, landscape design, garden architecture and to know their biographies/oeuvre in detail
- to put the role and activities of women in landscape planning, landscape design, garden architecture and land use in a historical and societal context.
