Definition and theory of terroir; introduction to and overview on relevant soil and terroir aspects for viticulture and oenology; information on important data bases; theory of soil analysis and related practical training in using soil data for characterising water and nutrient status. Interpretation of soil and site information for characterizing the terroir in viticulture and oenology.
