What is science? How is scientific knowledge generated? Which concepts of reality are behind individual scientific research paradigms?
What is the role of science in society?
Gugerell: Stages of the research process, structure of papers and contents of different chapters, what a framework chapter (introduction/conclusion) is supposed to deliver, topical questions of PhD researchers, joint reflection on research process

Basic knowledge of the most relevant theories of scientific episteme
Reflection of the individual role of the participants as researchers
Gugerell: enhanced skills and capacities in the research process and for writing articles and frame writing
