Interdisciplinary seminar course for PhD students in the field of bioresources and -technologies. Within the framework of the LVA an abstract needs to be submitted that contains a summary of the own work and work area. During the first seminar day (Nov. 4th, 2021), working areas as well as PhD topics and interim results are presented and discussed as oral or poster presentation. This gives students an overview of topics and methods in the field of bioresources and -technologies. On the the second seminar day (Nov. 5th, 2021) an excursion to the Institute of Science and Technology Austria (IST Austria) in Klosterneuburg will be organized. There, PhD students of IST will present their topics, research areas and infrastructure for their research projects. Exchange of ideas, discussing and networking with the PhD students of IST and presentation of the high-end scientific equipment and infrastructure.

The students gain an overview of the interdisciplinary area of Bioresources and -technologies and increase their knowledge about methodologies and techniques applied in this area as well about their possible fields of application. Students will get connected through networking with colleagures and supervisors during the two days seminar. They know about competences and available infrastructure of their colleagues and supervisors. This will be helpful for thier own work on research projects.
