Planning – process, assessment and framework conditions, overview on planning strategies, basics of planning, planning steps, objectives and indicators, assessment tools and decision aids, environmental impact assessment

Survey methodology, types of mobility surveys, surveys of flowing traffic (motorised, non-motorised, PT), stationary traffic, all traffic modes, other surveys, practical steps in surveys

Transport demand and supply: overview and interaction, influencing factors, modelling

Traffic safety, environmental impacts: safety, noise pollution, greenhouse gas emissions GHG, energy consumption, air pollution, calculation of pollutants emission and immission, land and nature consumption

Exercises:
Mobility survey and analyse of the traffic behaviour and the mode supply regarding the trip from home to university.
