Evolution - domestication - breeds - animal breeding, animal performances, basic principles of animal breeding (Mendelian rules, Hardy-Weinberg-Equilibrium, basic genetic model, population parameters, performance testing, estimation of breeding values), factors affecting response of selection (genetic variability, selection intensity, accuracy of selection, generation interval), selection methods and mating systems, utilisation of breeds in cattle, pig, sheep, goat, poultry and horse, excersices for better understanding the basic principles.
