Content

This seminar is a PhD and master student seminar for students performing practical or theoretical work at the Department of NanoBiotechnology. The seminar provides training in the presentation, analysis and critical discussion of data and scientific material in the field of nanobiotechnology and in particular on the formation, characterization, and application of biomimetic membranes. Issues that will be treated are both, current research work and emerging methodologies from the scientific literature.

Previous knowledge expected

A profound background (master level) in Biochemistry and Biopysics.

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

After successful completion of this special lecture, students are familiar with state-of-the-art theories, principles, and methods concerning the field of molecular nanotechnology and biomimetics. The students will have acquired skills for critical analysis and evaluation of scientific data and promoting molecular nanotechnology and biomimetics in basic and applied research.
