The lecture starts with a general view of the Austrian Legal System, its principles and interests, and reflects furthermore those legal fields, which are especially for building and construction industries essential. The content of the lecture is therefore structured in

-principles of civil law
doctrine of privity of contract, property law, obligations, liability law

-principles of public law
mandatory prosecution, directives

-main features of administrative law, trading certificates

-industrial safety act

-overview of the penal law

-principles of contracting and public procurement law

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

The objective oft he lecture is to lead the stundents to an autonomous understanding of the potential and the limitation of law systems and to discuss with them the especially for technicians most important legal acts.
