Content

This course is implemented as a summer school in refugee-host communities in Northern Uganda together with students of MUNI University, Arua.
It combines all fields of learning at BOKU-IDR:
concepts of gender and governance in research and practice;
applied research using participatory methods;
transdisciplinary collaboration;
intensive experiential learning.

What you will do:
#prepare in 4 seminars at BOKU for the stay in Northern Uganda
#spend 2 weeks in Uganda (mid July) to learn how to investigate realities of gender and natural resource governance

Previous knowledge expected

Not obligatory, but recommended: all courses of the IDR, and in particular
934300 Gender, food systems and natural resources;
934301 Gender, nutrition and right to food;
934317 Participatory methods in development research and practice.

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

Profound understanding of gender and governance of natural resources.
