In this course, students will learn the basics of programming and will gain understanding
of data types, variables, operators, control structures, and functions. Students will write
code in Python, starting from zero and extending their programming skills step by step
with practical exercises. The Python modules numpy, pandas, matplotlib, and scikit-learn
will be introduced.

None. Being familiar with basic Linux commands will be helpful.

Students are able to write and run scripts using variables, conditions, loops, built-in
functions, methods, and modules to solve programming tasks related to data analysis.
Computational thinking will be augmented.
