Students have a deeper insight into the topic "genes and biodiversity", which was discussed as a basis in the introductory lecture "Introduction to Genetics" for Agricultural Sciences.
The concept of "genetics, biodiversity and sustainability" will be understood by the examples of crop plant biodiversity for resistance breeding programs and soil microbial biodiversity for nutrient managment.
