The course is a follow up of the course "816.104 Planning and Design of Hydraulic Structures". The project - finished up to the licencing level - is continued up to a more detailed level of the design of single measures and hydraulic calculations.
Measures have to be integrated in the environment and the landscape based on the main goals of the water framework directive and the fauna-flora-habitat directive.
The tutorial has a high practical orientation.

After having successfully finished the project the student has the qualification to design a detailed project in the field of river construction and water power plants, consisting of technical report, calculations and detailed drawings. The project has to have the quality in structure and content to receive the governmental license. Before carrying out the project the student has to know about the structure and the content of a feasibility study, detailed knowledge about hydro mechanical and hydrological calculation as well as hydro mechanical construction works.
