Content

The lecture and seminar is an advanced course of grapevine physiology with focus on selected abiotic stresses and will cover the following aspects:
-Presentation and discussion of selected abiotic stresses
-Discussion and analyses of the physiological reaction of the plant to abiotic stresses
-Stress signaling within the plant
-Adaptation of the primary and secondary metabolism of the plant
-Students analyze, present and discuss current research topics

.

Previous knowledge expected

Students should have passed exams of VO & UE Weinbau, VO & UE Physiology of Grapevine
.

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

- students recognise and understand the interplay of different abiotic stresses
- students can interprate the responses of plants to abiotic stresses
- students know the main stress signaling responses of plants
- students can develop management strategies to prevent abiotic stresses
- students can interprate and discuss internation peer-reviews publications
.
