Content

Geometry for engineers: Introduction to the basics of engineering geometry; basics of listed projection, profiles and sections, application in building construction (roofs and perspectives), application in road construction (sections, slopes, clothoids).

Computer aided design: Introduction to the basic methods and possibilities of digital construction, using selected CAD software, of buildings and structures; practical implementation of: project creation, data backup, two- and three-dimensional planning, methods of digital construction, labeling, dimensioning, creation of planes, creation of sections/views/perspectives, creation of components, building and mass evaluation, output of digital plans.

Previous knowledge expected

Safe handling of a selected operating system, suitable for the use of CAD software.

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

After successful participation in this course, graduates are able to create technical drawings by hand and using CAD software. The acquired skills include reading, understanding and drawing up technical plans as well as the ability to solve spatial geometric problems by drawing, manual and computer-aided techniques.
