Content

Game has several roles to fulfill in the light of various land use practices. Current problems and solutions of Austrian wildlife issues for hunting and forestry will be discussed in vary detail. This lecture does not give an overview over wildlife ecology but works on the basis of examples to foster the student's ability to think cross-sectoral.

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

Students passing this lecture know basic principles in wildlife ecology of Austria, with relevance to forestry and hunting. They are able to detect interactions between both types of land use and can thus adapt them to wildlife management.
