Hydrogeological excursion to the Zugspitzplatt and on through the Partnachklamm canyon (3 days; Schneefernerhaus, Reintalangerhütte; 18.-20.Aug.):
- High alpine, isolated karst system in the Limestone Alps
- Investigation of underground water flow and flow conditions

Understanding hydrogeological interrelationships; Students know examples of hydrogeology in the field. Knowledge of groundwater flow systems in solid and unconsolidated rock, karst, interaction of geology and groundwater, groundwater monitoring, interventions in the underground flow system (e.g. through power plant construction, tunnels) and their effects
