-
The content of the exercises includes sample fixation and embedding, production of thin and ultrathin sections, cell color and immunolabeling techniques, preparation of chromosomes, and dealing with a fluorescent marker protein (transient expression in leaves, localization and separation by ultracentrifugation).
Electron microscopy sample preparation and immunogold labeling will be shortly discussed.
Biotechnological applications and contexts (for example in the field of production of recombinant pharmaceutical proteins) are identified.
- Previous knowledge expected
-
- Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)
-
The lecture will make the students familiar with the basic techniques in cell biology including fluorescence microscopy
