Elaboration of projects dealing with issues of river restoration or conservation (case studies) by the students
•Literature review

•Application of appropriate methods and tools to identify ecological problems, establish management concepts and evaluate development scenarios, depending on the particular research question

Understand different tasks and methodological approaches for river restoration/conservation concepts and strategies;
Analyse the status quo of the aquatic environment (quantitative and qualitative data analyses, GIS analyses);
Develop appropriate restoration and conservation concepts
Assess effects of restoration/conservation measures on the aquatic environment as well as on ecosystem services;
Discuss and evaluate management scenarios;
based on case study work
