Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

Students gain a deeper insight to the topic "genes and biodiversity", which was discussed as a basis in the introductory lecuter "Introduction to Genetics" for Agricultural Sciences.
Students know after taking part in the 2-3-day field-trip the mechanisms of selection on the basis of examples of people, animals and plants.
The concept of "genetics, biodiversity and sustainability" will be demonstrated and understood by the examples of "animal breed variety" and "plant varieties" and the direct relationship between gene function and training or adaptation of organismic characteristics will be understood.
