Content

Forests in the view of the Austrian Forestry Law and other regulations, forest timber statistics, forest growth and yield, ecology of different tree species, nutrient budgets of forests, dynamics of forest area, forest communities and forest vegetation of Central Europe, forest tending and regeneration, forest management practices, forest fertilization, forest inventory and sustainable annual cut.

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

To get an understanding of forests as functioning ecosystems and to get an overview of forest distribution and forest management practices in Austria.
