This lecture corresponds to two modules of the lecture Quality Management 754.110 dealing with principles, tools and methods of quality design and quality improvment.
Quality planning focuses on the objectives, strategies, methods and techniques of quality planning as Quality Function Deployment, Failure Mode Effects Analysis or seven quality and management tools. One chapter deals with the systematic generation of ideas and converting them into concepts.
In the quality improvement module tools of product and process improvement and optimization are presented as well as the statistical design of experiments, the Six Sigma concept, the balanced scorecard, benchmarking and problem solving techniques. Fault management, key figures, the continuous improvement process and Kaizen are also content of this module.
