In this journal club the students meet to present and discuss recent relevant literature. In every lecture one student will present one selected paper with new methods and results. Afterwards the content of the paper will be discussed, but also the paper analyzed in terms of structure, scientific writing and Figure design.
The following topics will be adressed by the student presenter and discussed afterwards:
1. Background (authors) and motivation of the article
2. Introduction to the topic of the article ( for this also other papers and info can be included in the presentation)
3. Presentation of the new methods and results
4. Conclusions on methods and results and wider impact of the study
5. Conclusions on the quality of the article (structure, writing, Figures)

The students will be able to:
- orally present and explain in a structured way the key points of research papers in the field of build.nature
- give valuable comments to scientific concepts in discussions
- reflect, adapt and refine the own scientific writing skills based on the discussed pros and cons of the presented articles
