After completion of this course, students will be able to isolate RNA and proteins from plant tissue. Furthermore, they will be able to determine RNA/protein sample concentrations and will be familiarized with general aspects of gene expression control and its analysis in plants. In addition, students will be capable to perform basic methods of cell biology and biochemistry, involving different fluorescence microscopes, Western blotting and quantitative Real Time PCR.
