In the course methods for the assessment of impacts from products along the life cycle in the dimension of sustainability are presented. The options for single life cycle stages are demonstrated as Ecodesign (design phase), ecolabels (sustainable consumption) and end-of life management. The application of methods and tools in different branches, e.g. electronics, automotive and construction sector, is highlighted.

Participants have knowledge on methods for the life-cycle orientated assessment of products and services with respect to economic, environmental and social impacts and ability for critical review of international LCA publications. They are able to implement sustainability aspects in management of production systems and services.
