The students can characterize the most important methods of quality assessment and apply them in a targeted manner. The selected analytics are selected with regard to the type of the ingredient and the plant matrix. They are capable of assessing, interpreting and drawing conclusions on the quality according to the requirements of the end user (consumer, industry) despite their complexity. They are familiar with the use of the most important equipment and measurement methods in the quality assessment of the horticultural products. They can properly carry out the control of the horticultural products both before the harvest and afterwards, and thus make correct decisions regarding the choice of the harvesting season and the marketing strategy.
