Students will play their string instrument in an ensemble and will work on one or more chamber music pieces. Compositions for string quartet, an important genre in music history, will be emphasized, especially the "Wiener Klassik" (Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, Schubert). Depending on the instruments, pieces will be selected to be performed at BOKU events. The selection may include other composers and even jazz or salon music arrangements. The instrumentation can range from string quartet to string orchestra.

Playing a string instrument at an advanced level (violin, viola, cello, double bass). Ability and willingness to play in front of an audience.
