The course is an additional course to the lecture series „ Nach Hiroshima und Fukushima: nukleare Sicherheit oder akute Gefahr? “
The additional course focuses mainly on the scientific questions related to the lecture series. This includes e.g. the safety of nuclear facilities, safety/security and risk analysis, design and modelling of nuclear facilities, new reactor concepts, nuclear waste treatment, and possible scenarios regarding fuel (economy).

Previous knowledge from the lecture series or comparable lectures from the Institute of Safety/Security and Risk Sciences is required.

The participants get to know scientific methods for analysis and assessment of nuclear facilities. The focus lies on nuclear safety, modelling and scenario development.
