Knowledge in hydrology, hydraulics, construction, mechanics and structural analysis
Snow and avalanche hazards, hazard and risk analysis

Objective (expected results of study and acquired competences)

Natural disasters as floods, debris flows, avalanches and rockfall threatens settlements and infratsructures in many mountainous countries. To protect these objects various mitigation measures can be choosen. The aim of the lecture is to optimize the design and the combination of mitigation measures.
