Absolvents of this course knowing:
- the crop types in organic farming and the most important crop rotation rules
- understand the key criteria for planning crop rotations, such as self-compatibility and previous crop effects;
- assess the sustainability of crop rotations;
- independently develop crop rotations for conventional and organic farming
- evaluate a practical crop rotation with regard to nitrogen and humus balance, weed pressure and compliance with crop rotation rules
